# Fetch a patient note

> Fetches a patient note by its ID.

**Patient notes** are free-text records attached to a clinic patient's timeline. They can be categorized by kind (e.g., general, communication) and marked as internal (visible only to clinic staff) or external (also visible to pet parents).
